So.. I have found another App (I might need to go and see someone re my obsession with apps..). This one is called Noom and its a weight loss / break bad subconscious habits kind of app. In general, I don’t like apps or diets which the main goal is just to make a person lose weight but this one is promised to be different so here we are. I have tried it now for three days and it actually taught me some things. Things I knew but needed to relearn. Like the fact that people have different triggers which leads to thoughts which leads to action and then consequences sometimes without even realizing it. My trigger when it comes to food and also for not doing the exercise for the day is stress. I have too many balls in the air at the same time most of the time and without planing food/exercise time (which happens more than once a week.. sometimes its the whole week which lacks planing..) I fall into bad habits where food needs to be thought up on the spot and exercise always goes on the back burner (which is rubbish as there is always time later on in the day but my priorities are to do other things then.. ). Noom forces me to record my food, which I know is good to do and I should have done this a long time ago considering my problems with the stomach, it also gives me nibbles of facts every day and set targets for moving. I like it, I like that it forces me to think about why I don’t do certain things that is beneficial although I know I should, I need to confront myself every day and that in itself will force me to change/create new habits which are better for me so thumbs up! The price is a bit hefty though, mainly due to the fact that you get connected to a person that you speak to every week and review your goals (accountability!) and then you get included in a group which you talk to regularly not to fall behind (and more importantly to get supported). I love the concept but money needs to be spent elsewhere, that doesn’t stop me from taking what I have learned on board and moving forward with the same setup.
